    South Korea has an overall temperate climate with a total of four very different seasons; we will get into that later on, for now, you should know its climate is temperate and with regular temperatures.

    When it comes to subclimate, unlike most countries, South Korea really doesn’t have any. Like we just said, they are really lucky when it comes to their climate conditions.

    • After that comes autumn or fall time from September to November.
    • And finally winter time from December to February.

    Now, let’s talk a bit about the winter season. You see, due to South Korea’s location, they tend to get a lot of cold air from the Asian continent, which causes winter time to be extremely cold and summer time to be rather short.

    Overall, winter time in South Korea means low temperatures and a very dry weather. As to snow, that’s quite a hard topic to talk about. The country does experience snowfalls, but not as much as before.

    That answers the question about when does snow season happen, which, of course, is during the winter time, meaning from December all the way to February.

    South Korea doesn’t experience heavy snowfalls during the whole winter season across the country, but it does experience some snowfalls during this season.

    Of course, that leads us to a pressing question we all want to know: does it snow during Christmas time? And the answer is: it depends! You see, there are places where snow happens right at the beginning of December but doesn’t last.

    Although it does snow during January and February, due to that natural phenomenon, it doesn’t snow during Christmas in South Korea, even when it does during the rest of the season.

    Like we mentioned before, South Korea does get snow; however, predicting where it will snow, it’s quite difficult. For example, Seoul does experience snowfall and, depending on the temperature, can be long lasting or simply gone by next day.

    That being said, apart from Seoul, it also snows in Pyeongchang, Gangwon, and even Busan might experience a bit (just a bit) of snow, although it is pretty low compared to the other provinces and regions.
