    ⛅ Climate of Belgium

Belgium itself, like most countries in that side of the world, is rather small (not the smallest, of course), but still, small enough that it gets lost when you put it against the biggest countries.

But don't you get confused about Belgium small size, because, yes, this country might small when you compare it to others, but trust us, they still have many incredible things to show us, like their weather, for example.

Believe it or not, thanks to their small size Belgium actually has a very regular climate, nothing too exotic or weird, but still, it is completely worth talking about, so here we go!

To be a little bit more specific, Belgium has a temperate maritime climate, which means, they tend to have a very nice weather almost all year around, but can also get to experience some cold temperatures once in a while.

Overall, Belgium has a kinda cold or temperate climate temperature, since it is located near a cold region. However, keep in mind they don’t really have very drastic or dramatic climate changes.

🌨 When does it snow in Belgium?

Now that you know a little bit about Belgium's climate, it is time to talk about their seasons, and how each one impacts the weather in the country, because just like we just said, they do tend to have cold days, but mostly warm ones.

Of course, Belgium does experience very beautiful, sunny days, as you will realize as we start to dig a little deeper on the different season changes of the country.

That being said, Belgium, like most countries in Europe, goes through four different season changes through the year, which are:

    • Let’s start talking about spring time, which happens from March all the way to May. With temperatures going around 41 °F (5 ºC) to 57 °F (14 ºC) tops, with sunny days all around, of course.
    • Then comes summer time, everyone’s favorite station of the year! Summertime happens from June to August, having a mix of sunny, pretty days, with rainy ones.
    • Of course, after summer comes autumn, and it happens from September all the way to November. During the very first weeks of fall, the temperatures are still kinda warm, but as you get closer to the winter time, temperatures start to drop almost immediately.
    • Last, but definitely not least, comes winter in Belgium, which happens from December to February, with temperatures almost always staying below the 32 °F (-0º), bringing in the snow season of course, which also happen during these months.

As to whether or not does it snow during Christmas season, also known as the snow season, the answer is yes, it does! So you can expect some really nice white Christmas.

By this point you already know a lot about Belgium’s weather, but do you know where does it snow in Belgium? Well don’t worry, because we are about to tell you what you need to know.
